TAIPEI, TAIWAN, August 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- "Agile rarely gets stuck with the engineers." That was the message today as the fourth annual Global Top Agile CEO Awards honored 14 winners at the National Taiwan University Hospital International Convention Center. Roger Chou, a board director of the Scrum Alliance, presented the awards, chosen from 26 submitted stories of leadership and agile adoption spanning manufacturing, construction, consumer services, healthcare and biotech, digital technology, and education, before an audience of more than 200 corporate executives and agile practitioners.

Chou described agile as an action-oriented mindset and framework for navigating an era of fast, unpredictable change — moving in short, iterative cycles that surface problems early and let teams continually adjust course. He noted the approach has been widely embraced by leading global organizations, including Google, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, GE, Spotify, and Tesla, as well as Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom, Galaxy Software Services Corporation, and Cathay United Bank.

The award was founded in 2023 by Dr. Roger Chou, Taiwan's first International Agile Ambassador, and remains the only agile award in the world aimed specifically at CEOs and senior executives. This year's winners were selected by a panel of 10 international judges against three criteria: project impact, depth of agile adoption, and organizational influence.

Chou noted that this year's top three winners took markedly different paths to the same conclusion: agile has to move out of the IT department and into the core of corporate decision-making, where it runs on genuine collaboration and self-management. First place went to Wei-Chuan Su, Chairman of Nan I Book Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Nan I Education Group), who took over his family's publishing business and steered it toward digital education, culminating in the 2025 formation of the Nan I Education Group. Second place was awarded to Chun-Chien Yu, General Manager of the Productivity Innovation Business Group at Galaxy Software Services Corporation, who has spent more than four decades in the software industry integrating human resources, knowledge management, and financial services product lines while driving major-account growth and business-model innovation. Third place went to Chen-Yuan Lo, Chairman of Mason Capital Inc., who has brought agile thinking into investment banking through an "agile venture-building" model that helps companies connect with international capital markets such as Nasdaq and the Singapore Exchange (SGX).

The remaining 11 award recipients are: Hsien-Tung Wang, General Manager, EKC Energy and Environmental Control Co., Ltd.; Shih-Fan Lee, General Manager, Der Yiing Plastic Co., Ltd.; Chun Chiang, General Manager, Lee-Shinn Construction Group; Ling-Ching Wang, Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Wang GTH Co., Ltd.; Fang-Ming Wu, General Manager, Taipei Agricultural Products Marketing Corporation; Te-Chang Weng, Sales Director, Pfizer Taiwan Ltd.; Henry Hu, Founder, Auriga Security, Inc.; Chen-Yu Hao, General Manager, GeoSense Technology Co., Ltd.; Mei-Feng Chen, CEO, AllTech Information System Co., Ltd.; Hsing-Chung Chen, Distinguished Professor, also Director of the Research Center for Information Security, Asia University; and I-Ming Liao, Professor, National University of Kaohsiung.

The ceremony was held alongside RSG Taipei 2026 (Regional Scrum Gathering Taipei), the Scrum Alliance's officially licensed flagship event in Taiwan, which this year broadened its focus for the first time from engineering teams to CEOs and senior decision-makers.

According to the RSG Taipei organizing team, while the Global Top Agile CEO Award recognizes how agile thinking is put into practice at the level of corporate decision-making, this year's newly introduced Enterprise Agile Talent Development Award looks one step earlier in the process — tracking whether an organization has begun building agile talent at scale. Because enterprise-wide agile adoption rarely happens overnight, the scale of talent development is often the clearest and most measurable leading indicator of progress.

This year's selections were based primarily on the number of Scrum Alliance-certified Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) professionals each organization has developed, drawing on existing enterprise data to identify companies with a meaningfully large investment in agile talent. Most winning organizations were represented in person by their general managers, chairpersons, or other senior executives.

The organizers emphasized that the award is not intended to rank companies against one another, but to mark a first step toward surfacing agile talent-development achievements that have, until now, gone largely unrecorded and scattered across individual organizations.

Closing the ceremony, Chou said: "Real agility has to start with senior leadership and reach into every industry. Making talent development visible — and teaching boards of directors to think in agile terms — is the only way to keep corporate decision-making from being replaced by AI."
